Empowerment Through Education
Some of the many benefits to single-gender education include high academic achievement, improved self-confidence, and increased college enrollment. The Girls Leadership Academy of Arizona (GLAAZ) offers young women the chance to empower themselves through education, helping to mold them into capable future leaders.
Unlike other single-gender schools that can be costly and thus not a viable option for many families, GLAAZ is Arizona’s first public all-girls school, meaning attendance is absolutely free.
Opportunities for Excellence
At GLAAZ every young woman will have the opportunity to make the most of her education with small class sizes that focus on individual learning. The highly experienced teachers and the use of advanced technology enable GLAAZ students to benefit from an engaging, imaginative curriculum. Students at GLAAZ will also be able to get a head start on their college education by earning college credits as early as their freshman year.
Our mission is to empower young women to succeed as leaders not just in the classroom, but also in their communities, lives, and future careers. We strive to achieve this mission by sustaining rigor, relevance, and relationships: the hallmarks of an exemplary 21st century school.
